The Pearl of the Lake

Lake Como from Agueglio pass (1140 m), Esino Lario, Lecco
June 2019

I was driving around noon towards Cainallo to go up the mountain Grignone, when from the panoramic viewpoint with the memorial stone dedicated to Eng. Pietro Pensa I have found one of the rare moments when Lario was free of mist. I’ve then climbed the high ground above the road and arranged my tripod where the view was not impeded by trees. The closest promontory is Bellagio, called “the Pearl of the Lake Como”, then you can see Cadenabbia and Tremezzo and further on the Lavedo peninsula where the Villa Balbianello is located.
